REGO-FIX Expands Existing Keyless BT Collet Holders to Include New BT 30 Zero-Z Short Toolholder

Indianapolis, Indiana, October 5, 2006 - REGO FIX has recently added a new option to the company's line of keyless BT collet holders, the BT 30 ER 20 series
Zero-Z short toolholder. REGO-FIX is one of the first companies to offer a toolholder that does not feature drive keys, resulting in a completely symmetrical toolholder ideal for the woodworking industry and many new high-speed machines requiring this special taper. Like all REGO-FIX toolholders, the new keyless BT 30 Zero-Z short toolholder is pre-balanced to G2.5 at 22,000 rpm.

The new BT 30 no drive dog toolholder is compatible with the company's ER 20 series of collets. The ER series is the most widely used and accepted clamping system in the world, offering two levels of precision - standard and ultra-precision (UP). The clamping capacity for this special taper range from 0.5 mm (0.0197") to 13 mm (0.5118"). The Zero-Z holder in the ER series is compatible with both precision levels and offered in standard and metric sizes.

In addition to this new toolholder, there are four different types (ER 16, ER 25, PG 15 and PG 25) of competitively priced and coolant capable BT collet holders available in the ER and powRgrip series. This provides a wide range of flexible models for REGO-FIX customers.

REGO-FIX's revolutionary powRgrip system uses a toolholder and collet that can generate very high clamping forces higher than shrink-fit holders. The BT collet holders in the powRgrip series will clamp tool shanks ranging from 2 mm (0.0787") to 20 mm (0.7874"). Unlike other clamping systems where heat or hydraulics are used to expand the material, the powRgrip system uses the mechanical properties of the holder material to generate tremendous gripping force with run-out below 0.0001".
