ToolSet(TM) Option for use with Tooling Presetters
RealVision announces ToolSet(TM), an optional interface for ToolManager(TM) to use with virtually any Presetting system. With ToolSet and ToolManager link with your existing Tooling Presetter for total tool control through your R/S 232 port connection.
ToolManager achieves optimum "Tool Life" by determining what individual tools need changing and allows for both scheduled and unscheduled tool changes based on reported production counts and future requirements. ToolManager is used to monitor individual tool usage (Tool Life) on any machine by user customized database fields (Machine Number, Department Name, etc.) and generates a tool change report ("Block Tool
Change") so tools can be changed before they fail.
Tool changes are based upon pre-determined tool life cycles and number of cycles. Tools changed during the previous shift are input into "ToolManager" creating a detailed record of tool life.
