Formed Tool Bits Designed for Specific End Preps
A full range of formed tool bits (cutter blades) that can be shaped for performing specific welding end prep jobs such as peeling back clad boiler panel tubes are available from ESCO Tool of Medfield, Massachusetts.
Esco Formed Tool Bits feature a titanium nitride (TiN) coating and fit securely into the EscoLock(TM) wedge-lock blade locking system for beveling, facing, and boring clad boiler tube simultaneously without cutting oils. Available in a variety of standard and custom shapes that are designed for specific welding end prep jobs, these formed tool bits are suitable for the full range of Millhog end prep tools for tube from 1/2" I.D up to 18" O.D.
Capable of cutting any type of angle from 10° to 37-1/2°, Esco Formed Tool Bits can perform specific welding end prep jobs, in addition to peeling back clad boiler tubes. They include stub removal for excavating welds from a header, transition blades for lining up bores of different wall thickness on tube and pipe, boring blades for backing rings, tubes seat cleaning blades, and blades for turbine casing and bolting faces.
