Honeywell Introduces the NT Series Sealed Toggle Switch, Rugged and Cost-Effective

FREEPORT, Ill., August 26, 2003 - Honeywell [NYSE:HON] Sensing and Control introduces the NT Series Sealed Toggle Switch that meets the need for a rugged, cost-effective sealed toggle switch for use in extreme environments, fulfilling the Honeywell promise of taking the risk and high cost out of system critical systems. The sealed switch mechanism meets NEMA 3, 3R, 4, 13 and IP68 standards. The die-cast zinc cover is corrosion-resistant; and the raised panel stand-off option eliminates the need for behind the panel hardware, reduces assembly time, and provides a uniform height in the panel.

The "Easy-Start" bushing enables the mounting nut to be quickly positioned over the threaded bushing to ensure proper alignment. This decreases the chance of cross threading, especially during power tool-assisted mounting. The O-ring seal provides a panel-to-cover seal, eliminating the need for an above-the-panel hex-nut boot seal.
