Toggle Switch Boot avoids accidental tripping.

Press Release Summary:

Using low durometer rubber and providing very little or no resistance to actuator, Ultra Flex Bellow Toggle Switch Boot 1131/60 guards against accidentally tripping breaker/switch into on/off position. Boot provides UL recognized sealing performance that meets NEMA 4, 4X/IP68 sealing standards.

APM'S New Product Already Making News

APM HEXSEAL announces Design News has recognized the new Ultra Flex Toggle Boot (1131/60) as an Innovative New Product Design. Ultra Flex Toggle Boot 1131/60 has been named a finalist in Design News' annual Golden Mousetrap Awards in the Materials & Assembly: Fastening, Joining and Assembly Components category. The annual competition honors innovation in the development of new products in electronics, automation, materials and design tools. For more than two decades, the Design News Awards Program has recognized engineering innovation and creativity in product design.

There are an increasing number of breakers/switches that when covered with an environmental sealing switch cover can trip the breaker switch into the off position due to being covered by the wrong type cover. APM’s new patent-pending Inverted Bellow Toggle Switch Boot (1131/60) is a full environmental sealing boot that avoids tripping a breaker/switch (the half-toggle is in development). It uses low durometer rubber to guard against this tendency. This strategy alone is not always sufficient enough, thus our bellow design “Ultra Flex Series” would combat this issue.

APM HEXSEAL patented the original circuit breaker seal and associated electromechanical switch sealing boots over 60 years ago. They are used extensively by the military, marine, industrial, construction and commercial industries around the world.
