2020 Geno/Grinder® Automated Plant & Animal Tissue Pulverizer & Cell Lyser
Metuchen, NJ - SPEX SamplePrep LLC is pleased to announce the next generation Geno/Grinder®. This completely remodeled and automated product is based on the well-established 2010 Geno/Grinder®. Whilst employing the same unique design for vigorous up-and-down grinding motion, the 2020 Geno/Grinder® integrates with all automated robotic systems and has a complete cycle time of two minutes or less. The versatile clamp accommodates various titer plates, vials and all standard SPE plates and is ideal for high-throughput processing of samples for isolation of nucleic acids (RNA/DNA), enzymes, yeast, proteins and bacteria. Samples can be pulverized with or without buffer using a variety of grinding media. Safety features include an automatic door that opens , allowing a robotic arm to place a titer plate in the clamp nest. The clamp is then automatically secured prior to the homogenization process. Upon completion, the door opens, allowing the titer plate to be automatically removed. The 2020 allows the user to run a large number of pre-loaded stacked titer plates unattended.
