Tilt Sensor features integrated CANopen output.

Press Release Summary:

Based on MEMS technology, N5 Tilt Sensor comes in 1-axis and 2-axis versions with measuring range of 360° and 180°, respectively. Unit is also available with up to 4 configurable switching points and selectable switch-on/switch-off delay per switching point. Neutral position signal can be adjusted using infrared remote control or via CAN bus. Featuring flat housing for mounting in any confined space, IP67-rated sensor operates from -40 to +85°C with supply voltage of 9–32 Vdc.

Original Press Release:

Elobau Introduces a New Tilt Sensor with Integrated CAN Electronics

The new N5 Tilt Sensor provides an integrated CANopen output with J1939 protocol according to ISO 11898. This new product is based on MEMS technology making it extremely reliable in demanding environments such as material handling, construction vehicles, agricultural equipment and various industrial applications.

The N5 Tilt Sensor has a measuring range of 360° with the one axis version, or 180° with the two axis version. It is also available with up to 4 configurable switching points and a selectable switch-on/switch-off delay per switching point. The neutral position signal can be adjusted using an infrared remote control or via the CAN bus.

With its compact, flat housing it is easily mountable in any confined space. The sensor is protected to IP67, and operates within -40 to +85° C temperature range. The electrical connections are through a Deutsch or M12 connector.

The CANopen protocol offers various options such as baud rate selection or direction of rotation. The 9-32 VDC supply voltage is suitable for battery operation in vehicles.
