Teflon® Thrust Washers Reduce Friction and Prevent Galling
A new line of Teflon® thrust washers that match the dimensions of their shaft collars to provide a bearing surface for high thrust, low speed applications such as rotating components or pivoting robot arms is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts. Stafford Teflon® Thrust Washers precisely match the inside and outside dia. dimensions of their full line of shaft collars to provide a bearing surface that has a low coefficient of friction. Designed for rotary applications to prevent galling caused by direct stainless steel to stainless steel contact, they are especially effective in harsh environments. Available in sizes ranging from 1/2" ID x 1-1/8" OD up to 2" ID x 3" OD, Stafford Teflon® Thrust Washers are 1/16" thick and fully compatible with their line of standard shaft collars. Teflon®, of course, is chemically inert, non-flammable, and operates over a -450°F to 500°F temperature range. Stafford Teflon® Thrust Washers are priced according to size and quantity.
