The thrust pads are used to transmit clamping forces by leaning to uneven and unparallel surfaces, eliminating the transmission of any screw turning movement to the workpiece. The version with a steel, black oxide finish and a white, nylon plastic cover pad has a securing ring that allows simple mounting and removal of thrust point screws. The white nylon pad is mainly used in non-marking surface applications. The thrust pad with the steel case hardened body features a snap ring that provides a simple method to connect the thrust pad to the grub screw.
The grub screw has a steel, black oxide finish and is designed to be used with or without the thrust pad for clamping. Combining grub screws with different handles and knobs can create a variety of simple clamping screws.
