Thomson's Quad Play Technologies Win IEC's InfoVision Awards for Second Year in a Row


Thomson's network core innovations and advances are a winner at BroadBand World Forum

Paris October 10, 2006 - Thomson (Euronext 18453; NYSE; TMS) was today presented with the InfoVision Award 2006 for Network Core Innovations and Advances by the International Engineering Consortium (IEC), during Broadband World Forum Europe in Paris.

The IEC's InfoVision Awards are selected from several hundred submissions by an independent panel of judges, all industry experts from the telecoms sector. The prestigious awards recognize corporations and individuals for innovative contributions judged to be significant developments for businesses and consumers alike.

Thomson received the InfoVision Award 2006 in the Network Core Innovation and Advances category for its Quadruple Play Core Networks, a solution designed to help telecom service providers quickly deploy and easily manage a full range of innovative features combining advanced voice and video services with mobility.
