Thomas Research Products' 20kA Surge Protector Accepted into 2012 Progress Report


Huntley, Illinois - Thomas Research Products announced that their BSP3-20kA Surge Protector family from has been selected for inclusion in the 2012 Progress Report of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). Thomas Research Products is a leading manufacturer of SSL power solutions.

The IES Progress Report is an annual review recognizing significant developments in the art and science of lighting. The completed Report will be presented at the IES Annual Conference on November 12 in Minneapolis.

BSP3-20kA Surge Protectors are utilized primarily in conjunction with LED drivers, to provide protection against dangerous powerline disturbances in industrial and commercial outdoor applications. Protection is provided from surges up to 20,000 Amps (using industry standard 8/20 uSec wave), double the level of TRP's standard BSP3 Surge Protectors. Models are available for 277V and 480V power. They also protect electronic FL and HID ballasts, and induction lighting ballasts.
