ThinPrint Expands its "RDP only" Product Portfolio for Remote Printing

The ThinPrint .print RDP Engine Print Solution for Microsoft Terminal Services Appears in a Second Edition with New Features and Broader Platform Support

BERLIN, July 15/-Following the success of the .print RDP Engine, a print management solution specifically for Microsoft Terminal Services, the print management experts at ThinPrint have expanded their RDP-only portfolio of products for every aspect of remote printing under Microsoft Terminal Services. In addition to an improved RDP Engine, the software manufacturer has introduced to the market a product variant for Windows XP Professional users.

In the new version of the .print RDP Engine, all significant printer properties are inherited dynamically and made available to the user in the RDP session. As with the first .print RDP Engine, the Second Edition is completely administration-free. Print data volume is reduced up to 98% and, thanks to the DRIVER FREE PRINTING technology, there is no installation of printer drivers on the Microsoft Windows server.

In addition, the software manufacturer has introduced a new product variant, .print RDP Engine XP, which is targeted at Windows XP Professional users. Direct access via the Remote Desktop Connection to the home Windows XP desktop computer, particularly when setting up home offices and working on a laptop with UMTS, is becoming increasingly commonplace. A central server is then unnecessary, and there is no additional cost to Windows XP Professional users.

The RDP Engine XP addresses freelancers and businesses that run VMWare or Blade PCs for central application deployment.

The Second Edition of the RDP Engine is available at a price of 820 USD, the RDP Engine XP for 98 USD, from all ThinPrint Partners around the world.
