Thinkmap Inc. Introduces Thinkmap SDK 2.7

Thinkmap, Inc. (www.thinkmap.com), a leading maker of visualization software, today announced the release of version 2.7 of its flagship visualization technology product, the Thinkmap SDK (Software Development Kit). The SDK is the only full featured application that enables developers to rapidly create visualization applications such as Thinkmap's award-winning Visual Thesaurus (http://www.visualthesaurus.com). These visualizations are used in financial services, government, education, and many other industries, helping end-users navigate and understand relationships in large data sets.
The new version offers a number of features that make it easier for Thinkmap developers to work with the technology. These include:
1) The ability to extend functionality through applying JavaScript from within XML configuration files. By allowing for JavaScript to be used from within the XML configuration files, Thinkmap SDK 2.7 has both expanded the universe of developers who can create advanced functionality, and increased the ability of developers to create more interactive visualizations.

4) Many other important behind-the-scenes improvements. The Thinkmap SDK 2.7 contains hundreds of improvements over the previously available version.
The Thinkmap SDK provides a toolset that allows developers to rapidly create sophisticated applications for representing and navigating complex data sets. Thinkmap works flexibly and dynamically with multiple data sources (XML, SQL, and Flat File Data) to present multiple views of the same data simultaneously, as well as incorporate multiple data sources into one visual interface.
With a flexible XML-based configuration language, the Thinkmap SDK provides components for visual look and layout, behavior of the visualization, and data access and control. Several pre-configured visualizations are available to choose from; users can try different views of the same data easily.
