Original Press Release:

RNCP Series Chip Resistors are 100% Lead Free without Exemption

RALEIGH, NC — Stackpole’s RNCP Series thin film, high power anti-sulfur chip resistors are 100% lead free and do not contain any precious metals, so the material costs will not be greatly affected by the global metals market. This series provides an immediate solution to customers wanting to change over designs to be completely lead free in preparation for the potential upcoming changes to RoHS – at a reasonable cost. Having no silver in the inner terminations means it is impervious to sulfur contamination.

The RNCP Series is available in sizes from 0402 to 1206 and in resistance values from 1 ohm up to 100K ohms depending on size. The robust thin film element provides higher power ratings than usual for a given chip size, ranging from 0.1W for the 0402 size up to 0.5W for the 1206.

Pricing for the RNCP Series varies with size and tolerance and ranges from $1.80 per thousand to $3.20 per thousand in full reel quantities. Contact Stackpole or one of our valued distribution partners for volume pricing. Many popular sizes and values are in stock either from Stackpole directly or through online distribution.
