New TPUs for Conveyor Belts, Harvesting Equipment and Dispensing Machinery



Romulus, MI -- APS Elastomers now offers TPUs suitable for food contact applications. The new TPU grades are ideal for applications such as conveyor belts, harvesting equipment, and other dry food and bottle dispensing machinery. These grades have a broad processing range, are easy to color, and meet FDA standards for usage in contact with dry food.



Available in hardness range of Shore A 80 - Shore D 74, APS Elastomers’ polyether-based and polyester-based TPUs offer excellent mechanical properties, high abrasion resistance and tear resistance. Formulated to withstand a large range of temperatures, they exhibit good hydrolysis resistance and excellent abrasion resistance, which allow them to endure various environments.



In addition to thermoplastics polyurethanes (TPU), APS Elastomers offers other thermoplastic elastomer raw materials (TPEs) such as styrenic-based thermoplastic elastomers (TPE-S), thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV), thermoplastic polyester elastomers (COPE) and fluoropolymers (PVDF).
