Thermoplastic Extrusion Enhanced with Specialty Lubricants

Thermoplastic extrusion applications are being improved with external lubricants used on the dies or nozzles shaping extruded products. With Huron Technologies' release agents precise color and consistent surface quality products can be delivered. At the same time, release agents also protect the nozzles or dies being used and allow quick, easy cleanup afterwards. In an on-going effort to provide options for processors, Huron Technologies, Inc. offers silicone and silicone-free lubricants in liquid or aerosol packaging.

Release Formula 6310 Aerosol is a non-silicone aerosol recommended for releasing molded thermoplastics and dies for plastic extrusion. The convenient aerosol packing allows operators to apply Release Formula 6310 exactly where lubrication is required, optimizing the amount of product necessary to remain in production.

Silicone Mold Release Aerosol is a high performance lubricant formulated with a unique blend of silicones to clean and extend the useful life of die sets and tooling.

Release Coating 8049 is a 100% active, non-silicone external release agent formulated to simplify thermoplastic extrusion by decreasing the friction between the polymer and die.

Release Coating 8601 is a concentrated, specially blended silicone lubricant carried in hydrocarbon naphtha. The chemistry in Release Coating 8601 aids in the production of more parts in the same amount of time, due to fast evaporating solvents.

Since 1991, Huron Technologies, Inc. has been a custom formulator of release coatings, conditioners and cleaners for manufacturers molding polyurethane, rubber, concrete, phenolics and other composites for automotive, electronic, transportation and construction industries.
