GLS Corporation Offers New Value-Oriented TPE Series with Smooth, Matte Finish for Long/Thin or Detailed Parts

McHENRY, Ill. (March 26, 2007) -- GLS Corp., the global leader in high performance thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), has introduced a new, value-oriented, easy flowing TPE. Its molding and product end-use benefits include superior surface aesthetics, exceptional colorability and excellent flow for long, thin flow parts. The new TPE is being marketed as VERSAFLEX® 9500 Series.

With its exceptional flow characteristics, VERSAFLEX 9500 Series TPEs are ideally suited for long/thin or detailed part geometries such as hand and power tools, lawn and garden products, kitchen tools, office products and sports and leisure equipment, among others.

Of benefit to molders, the new VERSAFLEX 9500 Series TPE provides a smooth, matte finish with minimal surface flaws, plus offers isotropic shrinkage to reduce warpage. This new TPE grade does not require drying and has been formulated to have a wide processing window. Additionally, cost savings can be achieved as its excellent colorability means less color concentrate is required in order to achieve white or pastel colors. This series offers excellent overmolding adhesion to polypropylene. Available in pellet form in either natural or black, the new TPE is available in Shore A hardness grades of 45, 55 and 70.

GLS Corp. is a global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of high-performance, custom formulated thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs).
