New Thermocouple Wire Offers Greater Reliability and Performance in High Temperature Applications

Huron, Ohio: GeoCorp, Inc., the world's leading manufacturer of thermocouples and thermocouple wire has recently introduced another new thermocouple wire with Refrasil® insulation. The new K20-2-HR+8 wire offers 8 additional pics (weaves) per inch, providing better insulation coverage of the conductor and lessening the chance of shorting out or extra junctioning while running surveys or load thermocouples. The K20-2-HR+8 is stocked on 1000 foot spools with full quality certification done by our in-house laboratory. Our calibration laboratory is recognized by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for compliance with the criteria set forth in NIST handbook 150:2001, all requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:1999, and relevant requirements of ISO 9002:1994. This new wire can be built to the customer's exact specifications including thermocouple conductor type, wire gauge, length and specific calibration requirements. GeoCorp originally developed this wire for the vacuum heat treating market, but has since found numerous other applications including those at high temperatures.
