Thermal Transfer Printer is Portable, Compact and Dependable
Harrisburg, PA - March 7, 2005 - Tyco Electronics recently introduced the T200 series of thermal transfer printers. These desktop printers have 4.1" print heads and are designed for use with Tyco Electronics' range of TMS heat-shrinkable wire marker sleeves and limited thermal transfer printable pressure sensitive label products. The T208M features a 200 dpi print head and the T212M has a 300 dpi print head for crisp, high-quality text, barcodes and images. The new construction of these printers includes easy-reach loading of label materials and easy access to the print path, print head and ribbon mechanism. Additionally, a rugged double-wall design better protects the inner mechanical components and media from dirt, dust and damage. Electronically, the T200 printers carry excellent memory specifications boasting flash memory, for storage of forms and fonts, of 512K on the T208M and 1MB on the T212M. SRAM is 256K or 512K on the T208M and T212M respectively for printing labels up to 11" long. Flash-based firmware allows simple upgrades, helping prevent firmware obsolescence. A Universal Serial Bus (USB) port connection is included as standard, in addition to parallel and serial connections.
