Innovative Imprinting Equipment For Packaging
York, PA, August 1, 2008 - High-resolution on-demand product identification, including text, graphics and scannable barcodes, can be printed directly on pre-made pouches and lid stock for medical device packaging with Greydon's new inline pouch and lid thermal transfer printer.
With 300 dpi resolution, the new thermal transfer printer eliminates the need for costly labels. One-color printing can be done in a variety of colors by changing the ribbon. The new printer will be shown for the first time at PMMI's Pack Expo International 2008 in Greydon's booth #S-2952.
Greydon's new printer provides better registration and higher throughput, up to 10 inches per second, than competing pouch printers, according to Greg Rochon, Greydon's president. Capable of printing on Tyvek, medical paper, foils and flexible packaging materials up to 24 inches long with a 5 inch wide printhead, the new pouch and lid printer features a rugged steel printing platform with a stepper motor-driven infeed for positive registration.
The new printer works with standard Windows-based label software.
