FLIR Introduces Thermacam(R) Researcher 2001 Software

FLIR Systems, Inc. recently introduced ThermaCAM Researcher 2001, a new version of their real-time thermal analysis software which digitally stores, retrieves and analyzes live infrared images directly from ThermaCAM SC Series IR cameras. ThermaCAM Researcher 2001 is powerful Windows-based software package that provides detailed, precision analysis and measurement tools for capturing, recording, and studying extremely high speed thermal events. Ideal for evaluating static IR images, live IR video sequences or dynamic high speed thermal targets, ThermaCAM Researcher software helps engineers manage thermal performance and develop cost- effective design solutions. ThermaCAM Researcher 2001 offers powerful measurement functions for fast and extensive temperature analysis, including: isotherms, spot measurements, line profiles, and area histograms. Extremely flexible, Researcher allows users to easily customize its analysis capabilities and create and apply user-defined formulas to analysis results. A flexible screen layout, automatic image adjustments, user-defined recording conditions, variable images replay rates, sequence editing, image subtraction, customizable measurement tool graphics, comprehensive result tables and OLE technology, provide unparalleled flexibility and power in a compact portable package. Images can now be saved in a FLIR Public Format (.fpf) which provides an open interface for user-customizable applications. The Researcher 2001 is available in three configurations:

Researcher ST for analyzing static images stored in the IR camera's PC Card - Researcher RT for capturing and analyzing real-time IR video image sequences - Researcher HS for evaluating high speed digital IR data

ThermaCAM Researcher 2001 software is compatible with all five infrared cameras in the FLIR's line of ThermaCAM SC infrared imaging and temperature measurement systems.

To date, over 30,000 infrared camera systems have been sold worldwide to support applications in research and development, non-destructive testing, manufacturing process control, predictive maintenance/condition monitoring and public safety. FLIR's ThermaCAM series of uncooled and cooled thermal imaging cameras have set the standard for thermographic testing and analysis and are the most widely used IR non-contact temperature measurement systems worldwide.

FLIR Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: FLIR) is a leading supplier of innovative infrared imaging systems that include commercial and military IR systems, airborne imaging cameras, aerial broadcast cameras and machine vision systems. FLIR products play pivotal roles in a wide range of commercial, military, and public safety activities.
