Extech Data Systems Announces S1500T Series Thermal Printer
Ultra Lightweight Portable Receipt Printer has Multitude of Flexible Options
Waltham, MA - Extech Data Systems, a leading developer of portable printers for enterprise-wide applications, announces its new S1500T Series battery operated thermal printer. The contemporary designed S1500T is ultra lightweight, compact and durable, making it ideal for both desktop and in-vehicle use. It provides wireless connectivity with a specially designed IrDA interface.
DC and battery power options are available with the S1500T. Power can be wall-mounted for desktop applications involving fixed POS, or accessed from a vehicle power supply for remote transaction processing and ticketing applications. A rechargeable lithium ion battery enables portable use, and new extended battery life results in more receipt prints per charge. The battery may be charged either internally or externally via the available two-bay battery charger.
With automatic thermal print contrast, the S1500T produces a high speed, high resolution print, significantly reducing print time per receipt. A clamshell-style loading system and push-button release for the paper door make changing paper rolls easy and convenient. Built-in detectors monitor temperature, voltage, and paper-out.
The S1500T contains a highly integrated, state-of-the-art microprocessor complete with a flash-based integrated CPU memory to add logos, bar codes and other graphic elements to the receipt. The system has built-in Flash and SRAM memory to manage all features supported by the printer. Multiple communication interfaces and optional integrated Bluetooth(TM) radio are available.
The printer is in-field programmable for firmware, font and logo setup. Print drivers are available for Windows 95, 98, 2000, and XP, and print utilities are offered for all CE and Palm-based operating systems. Special features include resident fonts enabling 12 to 24 characters per inch, protective over-molds, and an optional integrated magnetic card reader or built-in 3-track MCR.
ECSPOS emulation is available for the S1500T Series. The printer comes with a 12-month warranty on all parts including print head.
