Original Press Release:

The D&K Group Launches an Innovative New Thermal Film for the Digital Print Market

Elk Grove Village, Illinois, January 18, 2002 - Today, the D&K Group launched a revolutionary new thermal film called SuperStick(TM). This product is the ultimate choice for new printing technologies and simplifies the customer's decision by offering optimal adhesion to most hard to stick to substrates.

In the past, thermal lamination customers have had problems adhering to digital prints because of high toner levels or the use of fuser oil to speed the drying process. The chemical properties (patent pending) in SuperStick(TM) allow for the successful thermal lamination of these hard to stick to prints.

In addition to the excellent adhesion qualities, SuperStick(TM) will run as well or better than other thermal films. There is less static, less adhesive transfer and better handle-ability then laminating. SuperStick(TM) is also user-friendly - it laminates with exceptional ease at temperatures between 230° and 290° with minimal tension and pressure adjustments required.

In addition, SuperStick(TM) is cost-effective - it reduces the total cost to produce by reducing the scrap rate. It also "wets" out smoother and clearer and improves the overall appearance and clarity of the print.

Look for SuperStick(TM) at the upcoming On Demand show in New York City in April 2002.

Currently, SuperStick(TM) is available on several thicknesses and finishes of Nylon and Polyester films. Look for further extensions to the product line soon.
