Thermal Engineering has been authorized to supply a second set of Sanding Prep Booths, Painting Spray Booths, Spovens & Airhouses identical to the first line supplied and completed in 2007 for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner fuselage program for Global Aeronautica, LLC, located in N. Charleston, S.C.

The new 787 Dreamliner fuselage system designed by Thermal Engineering Corp. includes more than two million CFM of fresh and recirculated air that will be processed in Thermal Engineering Corporation's supplied air houses. These air houses provide filtered, temperature and humidified controlled air year round to specific target points of 75ºF and 55% relative humidity in Charleston. All air house and booth functions are PLC controlled (programmable logic controller) with data acquisition and a supervisory system. This system requires 1,700 tons of chiller capacity to operate.

Thermal Engineering Corporation, established in 1961, currently holds more than 70 patents in heat transfer equipment and is a custom manufacturer of finishing equipment for a wide range of painting, coating & air filtration applications.

Thermal Engineering supplies paint booths to Boeing, Black Hawk Helicopter Program, Gulf Stream, Vought Aircraft and Global Aeronautica. Thermal Engineering is a supplier to the aerospace, automotive assembly market, general industry market, and building materials manufacturers.
