The Wagner Companies has added Baroque Art Gilders Paste to their full line of handrail products
Milwaukee, WI-July 31, 2006 - The Wagner Companies is pleased to announce the addition of Baroque Art Gilders Paste to their complete product line of handrail components and systems. Gilders Paste offers a unique way to highlight or decorate iron, wood, pottery, polymer clay, etched glass, picture frames, artwork, sculpture, faux finishing, gourds and more.
Baroque Art Gilders Paste offers a collection of various waxes, resins and high concentrations of pigments for resistance to water and common chemical reagents, with enhanced tint retention and hiding ability for coloring and highlighting interior and exterior applications. Available in 27ml (0.9 oz) and 92ml (2.1 oz) containers, a little Gilders Paste goes a long way.
All 28 colors can be thinned with small amounts of paint thinner to further extend, wash, stain or paint most any surface. Apply with finger, soft brush, sponge or cloth in a rubbing motion or use other creative mediums such as rubber stamps or spray painting to produce a unique finish.
Blend Baroque Art Gilders Paste to match and touch up existing color schemes or to create a custom color. Colors can be layered on top of one another or mixed together to create an endless color palette and different finishes that will not fade.
Drying time varies depending on substrate, surface preparation and thickness of application - approximately 60 minutes to the touch on dry, debris-free surfaces and 12 hours for complete cure time. Lightly buffing or polishing the metallic Gilders Pastes with a soft cloth will produce a gilded finish substituting gold, silver or bronze leaf; polished nonmetallic pastes will be shiny. If left unpolished the finish will be semi gloss or matte depending on the color.
Gilders Paste will accept an over coat - clear lacquer, varnish, urethane or powder coating - to achieve that uniform appearance where the Gilders Paste was not used or to provide further durability to areas where repeated handling is required.
