The Personal Retriever Authorized By U.S. Coast Guard
At the recent 2007 TSAC Meeting, the U.S. Coast Guard officially announced that LIFE-SAFER INC'S Personal Retriever can be used in place of 20 and 24-inch ring buoys in an effort to overcome the loss of life due to falls overboard in the towing industry. In 2006 The Retriever played a major role in the rescue of a pilot and deckhand who had fallen overboard. Both individuals were rescued with one throw of The Retriever with its' 100 foot rescue line after two unsuccessful throws of life rings.
