The Center for Discovery Discovers Time and Money Savings with CorTec Enterprise

BOULDER, Colo., Nov. 2, 2011 - The Center for Discovery has chosen CorTec Enterprise Software to manage food and beverage costs across their operation, announced Culinary Software Services.

The Center for Discovery network has been in existence for over 60 years and includes 44 housing facilities. The organization offers children and adults with a range of disabilities innovative educational, clinical, residential and social and creative arts experiences designed to enrich their lives through personal accomplishment.

The Center for Discovery uses CorTec Enterprise to track inventory at multiple locations, manage their purchasing from a central location, and cost out menus. CorTec Enterprise, along with ChefTec Mobile and Reporter, will be used for inventory taking, ordering and will consolidate reporting across different profit centers. They will also use the seamless electronic data interchange (EDI) interface with Sysco Foods which will allow their food & beverage management to place orders with Sysco directly from CorTec and download invoices into CorTec without any data entry.

The nutrition analysis functionality of CorTec also plays a large role in the daily needs of The Center for Discovery. With the large number of meals prepared each day across their operation, the ability to use menu cycles and determine the caloric intake per meal is important. Also, the ability to cost out menus is critical in the center managing their financial resources.

"Before CorTec Enterprise, The Center for Discovery was using spreadsheets for inventory and faxing in orders for all locations," said Michael Borcherding, the Account Representative for the center. "We knew our software could consolidate all of their processes and not only save them a lot of time, but also give them the nutrition information they considered essential in feeding large numbers of people."

The power of CorTec Enterprise Software will be on display at Booth #117 at the Americas Food & Beverage Show on November 14 and 15, 2011 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami, FL. All of the newest functionality available in the recently released version, ChefTec TT, will be featured at the show.
