The Balver Zinn Group to Debut OT2 Solder Paste and BRILLIANT B2012 Wire at Productronica

The Balver Zinn Group announces that it will exhibit in Hall A4, Stand 451 at the 20th international Productronica Trade Fair, scheduled to take place November 12 - 15, 2013 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany. Representatives from Balver Zinn and Cobar will display the company’s latest solder wire and paste technologies and services.

OT2 is Cobar’s latest halide and halogen free solder paste technology that is specially developed to meet continuously increasing customer requirements. The OT2 solder paste’s optimized rosin based chemistry offers the best printing and wetting properties in Pb-free as well as SnPb. Because of the uniform paste flux technology for SnPb and Pb-free, it is easy to switch from SnPb to Pb-free. The solder paste is designed to achieve printing speeds up to 250 mm/s for the most demanding throughputs. The combination of solvents and activators used in this paste returns a large process window for the reflow process. High yields can be achieved with fast conveyor speeds and short cycle times.

From the company’s solder wire family, Balver Zinn’s BRILLIANT B2012 will be displayed – a halide-free, rosin based solder wire designed for manual and robotic soldering. B2012 is odorless and shows excellent soldering and wetting performance. The no-clean, halide free solder wire was developed for lead-free rework and touch-up. B2012 is available in the alloys SN100C®, (SAC305 on request) and SnPb with a standard flux content of 2.2 percent. Balver Zinn wires are available in diameters from 0.3 to 3.5mm.

SN100C® B2012 μ-wire is now also available in 0.15mm and 0.2mm diameters.

Balver Zinn and Cobar’s representatives will discuss the new Balver Zinn Analysis service, which provides solder bath sample analysis to help customers control solder bath quality. The online database provides online access to solder bath analysis. Additionally, it allows each analysis to be exported into Excel files and graphics and, with the help of filters, users can select the desired analysis.

Balver Zinn Recycling was recently introduced due to high metal prices. The service is a competitive and ecological solution for recycling solder materials: solder paste, dross and scrap solder materials. After analysis, the company will offer a fair market price to reduce waste and CO2.

Balver Zinn and Cobar offer solder bar, solder wire, solder flux, gel flux, cleaner and solder paste. For more information about the company’s complete range of solder materials, visit www.balverzinn.com or www.cobar.com.
