New 5.7" Digital Color TFT PD057VU4
Aliso Viejo, California - AZ Displays, Inc., announces availability of a 5.7" digital active matrix TFT panel p/n PD057VU4. This color LCD is optionally available in a sunlight readable version PD057VU4-SR (enhanced without a touch screen) or PD057VU4-SRT (assembled with a unique sunlight readable touch screen p/n TR4-058F-09-D, 4-wire resistive type).

PD057VU4 features a built-in timing (T-CON) IC. It allows a user to display a content from a computer (VGA resolution of 640 x 480 pixels) on a lower native resolution of this LCD (QVGA format of 320 x 240 pixels). This function minimizes image distortion when scaling from one dot matrix resolution to another.
PD057VU4 is a drop-in equivalent to color TFT displays Kyocera TCG057QV1AA-G00 and two popular models from Sharp LQ057Q3DC02 and LQ057Q3DC12, but it offers higher brightness and wider temperature range. PD057VU4 is also a mechanical "drop-in" to color STN display from Kyocera KCG057QV1DB-G50, but the AZ Displays TFT has a superior color saturation, higher brightness and wider temperature range.
PD057VU4 can be used for a variety of medical applications, industrial controls, security monitoring equipment, table-top instrumentation, etc.
