Tianma NLT USA Announces New LCD Prototype with High Color Rendering LED Backlight for Realistic Color Display
CHINO, CA, – Tianma NLT USA has announced a new prototype of a 17.0-inch diagonal TFT LCD developed by NLT Technologies, Ltd. with a high color rendering LED backlight.
Designed for industrial applications, the new prototype utilizes a high color rendering LED at the backlight that achieves 90% of NTSC, enabling the panel to display very vivid and realistic color images. This is ideal for displays used in applications such as gaming and POS that require high color accuracy, as well as broadcasting, printing and medical equipment where realistic color reproduction is essential.
Typically, displaying realistic colors as they are seen in their natural environment requires the highest quality, most expensive imaging technology. However, the new prototype achieves realistic color rendering by applying conventional techniques such as optimized design of the backlight system in addition to being equipped with high color rendering LEDs.
A prototype of the new LCD module will be exhibited at Display Week 2016, May 24-26, San Francisco, CA, in Booth 905. Samples will be available in June 2016, with mass production scheduled to start in 2017.
