Original Press Release:

7.0 TFT TTL Interface to 7.0 LVDS Interface

Microtips Technology is excited to announce our new 7.0 LVDS TFT, which is a color active matrix thin film transistor liquid crystal display that uses amorphous silicon TFT as a switching device.   Our earlier 7.0 TFT display has a TTL interface, did not have the capabilities as the LVDS interface, This TFT LCD has a 7.0 (16:9) inches diagonally measured active display area with WVGA 800x400 pixels resolution.   This particular display also has a luminance of 1000 nits featuring a LVDS 6 bit interface.

There are few things that I would like to point out which makes this display different from the TTL version is that the power supply voltage (Vcc) has only its max to 4.0V, but its typical voltage is only 3.3 voltages for optimal contrast(500).   The adjusted pin is use to adjust the frequency between 19 to 21 Hz; which is great for our LCD capabilities.  The lifetime of this display is 30,000 hrs but keep in mind if drive this LCD outside it’s spec this will damage the LCD including the LEDs
