New Printers for Textile Materials
CAB recently released a new printer series to address applications for printing on textile type materials. The A4+/300T and XDT/300 printers have been developed from the existing A4+M and XD Series platform to address the challenging applications presented by printing fabric materials.
These materials are utilized for basic fabric and care labels sewn into garments, blankets, sleeping bags, etc. The challenge these materials present centers around the electrostatic buildup. The material, ribbon and printer all carry a level of static and, when combined, cause problems in handling the material after printing.
An additional roller has been added to the printer to pull the material away from the ribbon and added anti-static brushes to help dissipate the static. These measures have improved the handling after printing for the necessary cutting, perf’ing or stacking for these types of applications.
Both printers are available in 300 dpi and are center-justified. The standard CU4, PCU4 and ST4 accessories can be utilized with the A4+T and XDT printers.
