Red Lion Launches Next Generation HMIs
YORK, Pennsylvania, June 2003 - Red Lion Controls launches its new generation of operator interfaces with the introduction of the G303 text/graphical panel. The G303 is the first of many operator interfaces under development utilizing Red Lion's new G3 platform. The G3 hardware platform used with Crimson configuration software features ease of use and unequalled communication and computational capabilities.
The G303 features up to five serial communication ports, which can be configured to communicate (at speeds up to 115Kbaud) with an extensive list of devices including most PLCs, motion controllers and PID controllers. The G303 has an integrated protocol converter that provides an easy way for these devices to have integrated communication. The G303 comes standard with a 10/100Base-T Ethernet port, which can be used for remote communication and web diagnostics. Configuration databases are downloaded to the G303 via the RS-232 programming port or the time saving USB port. Both the database and runtime are stored in the 4 Meg on-board flash-memory. The G303 includes a Compact Flash Socket, which allows developers to increase memory needed for data logging, etc. An outdoor unit is available that features a sunlight visible display along with a UV-rated overlay.
