Texas Metals & Recycling Co. Installed a Harris GS 9 Shear


Peachtree City, GA, June 22, 2009 - The GS 9 was installed at the Abilene, Texas location for Texas Metals & Recycling Co. "We have been in our new 5 acre location since 2002 and purchased the Harris GS 9 Shear because it is built in the USA, has a long lasting reputation and for the quality of Harris brand/equipment" said Wayne Lanham, President, Texas Metals and Recycling Co.

Texas Metals & Recycling Co. acquired Texas Hide and Metal Co. in 1991 (which had been in business since 1909), and both were/are family owned and operated businesses. The Lanhams' took over in 1991 and service Abilene and surrounding areas with full service scrap metals, waste paper and new steel operations. They are currently running a Harris HRB 59N baler at the paper operation and a Badger baler at the non-ferrous metals operation.
