Synergetix Introduces New Integra 27 Test Socket

Synergetix, widely known as the leader in high-performance production test sockets, has revolutionized burn-in and large-scale manual test with the introduction of the Integra 27. The Integra socket series combines low cost and quick delivery with high reliability and incredible RF performance.

Ed Schifman, President and CEO of Synergetix, notes that "Customers have been asking for a low-cost, quick-turn
version of our sockets for manual test applications for years. We've finally found a way to give it to them - for less
money, in half the time."

The Integra series is built around a molded frame with an integral clamshell lid. This frame, stocked at Synergetix,
is combined with an interposer insert that is designed specifically for each customer's device. The entire assembly
can be shipped within two to three weeks.

The interposer insert is loaded with the spring contact probes that have made Synergetix famous. Synergetix spring contact probes, which are custom-produced by IDI, offer an incredible insertion life of 500,000 cycles; in the unlikely event that contacts are damaged, they are individually replaceable. Synergetix's spring contact probes offer inductance as low as 0.33 nH and bandwidths well over 10 GHz.

The sockets are built to withstand the rigors of burn-in and HAST testing. The low-profile lid design features a
limited footprint, allowing sockets to be populated in high densities. Factory refurbishment programs are available.

The physical characteristics of the new socket include:

- Socket Material: PPS

- Nest Material: Torlon 5530

- Contact Material: Beryllium Copper or Nickel Silver

- Contact Plating: Gold over Nickel

- Flammability: UL 94V-0

- Temperature Rating: -55°C to +150°C

The Mechanical / Electrical characteristics include:

- Insulation Resistance: >1000 M?

- Contact Resistance: 20-60m?

- Force Per Contact: .8 - 1.4 oz.

- Durability: >500,000 actuations

- Current Capacity: 3 - 6 amps per contact

- Bandwidth: >10 GHz
