New Sunrise Telecom® Test Set Delivers Key Enhancements Ensuring High-Quality Triple Play Services

Versatile, compact handheld SunSet MTT(R) ACM II tests outside copper plant to ensure next-generation networks meet consumers' expectations.

SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 29 /-- Sunrise Telecom(R) Incorporated (BULLETIN BOARD: SRTI.PK) , a leader in test and measurement solutions for today's telecom, wireless and cable networks, launched SunSet MTT(R) ACM II modular test set, the only system to qualify the copper pair for access networks and complete service verifications for a variety of applications in a single test set. Its ability to test outside plant copper pairs for multiple types of DSL -- VDSL2, ADSL2+, ADSL -- make it a crucial instrument for deploying next-generation networks. The AMC II debuts this week at the OSP EXPO in Sunrise Telecom's Booth #414.

"As consumers embrace new forms of communication and entertainment, triple play networks will be increasingly relied upon to support the abundance of multimedia applications," said Yumi Kato, product marketing manager, Telecom Products Group for Sunrise Telecom. "The versatility of the ACM II not only gives technicians the tools they need to deploy next-generation networks, but it ensures that services will work at some of the industry's highest levels of performance."

The ACM II equips the network service provider to effectively deploy today's triple play network with the following highlights:

-- Industry best range from voiceband to 30 MHz for VDSL2 for key measurements such as PSD noise and loss
-- Dual trace TDR, RFL, and DMM for cable fault identification and location
-- Standardized POTS tests common to industry methods and procedures, including longitudinal balance, power influence, and powerline harmonic analysis
-- The modular SunSet MTT ACM II allows customers to utilize the extensive library of MTT service modules addressing DSL, IPTV, Metro, and Transport applications.

These comprehensive features make the ACM II ideal for local loop exchange carriers as they test copper carriers to troubleshoot and qualify access networks during construction, installation, provisioning and maintenance. During the OSP EXPO, Raj Wallace, technical sales director will present "Troubleshooting Copper and Beyond the NID -- Triple Play Service Installation" as part of the educational programs. Mr. Wallace's presentation will address common problems found in testing and installation of triple play services in a fiber to the node (FTTN) architecture on Thursday August 30th.
