Modular Spring Type Test Plug Provides Universal Testing Option
BURGAW, N.C. (September 18, 2002) - Creating a more convenient way to test terminal block current, Wieland Electric Inc. has developed a modular test plug that may be used for both taris IDC or fasis spring clamp terminal block styles. The modular spring style test plug provides a universal solution for both 5mm and 6mm pitch blocks preserving the functionality of the blocks themselves.
"Wieland's test plug is a single tool that may be used to test a majority of cabinet connections," said Wieland product manager, Marc Immordino. "We incorporated all of the extra features required in a comprehensive test plug and packaged them in one part number for convenience."
Wieland's test plug tests individual modular poles in 5mm pitch, and 6mm pitch with the use of a separate partition. Built-in standard jumper bar slots are available in both 5mm and 6mm pitch versions. The test connection entry point is positioned as a top mount version and individual marking of each module is possible with Wieland's standard marking system. The plug also offers a recessed grip for easy handling even when used frequently.
