BURGAW, N.C. (November 2, 2002) - Increasing technical specification options, Wieland Electric Inc. has expanded its 8113 Series of pluggable spring-clamp PC board terminal blocks. The new version is available with molded-in screw flanges to ensure a gas tight connection even in high vibration environments.
"Wieland has long recognized that spring clamp terminations were ideal for high-vibration applications," said Group Product Manager, Bruce Burroughs. "Securing the header and the mating connector with a screw flange as a protective measure against inadvertent disconnect, makes the 8113 Series an excellent choice for the elevator, railroad, motor control centers, HVAC or other high-vibration applications."
Wieland's 8113 Series is available in 2-16 poles (17-24 poles by request) and offers 5.0mm and 5.08mm spacings. Each connector is equipped with individual test points and is manufactured of a highly durable polyamide 6.6 plastic housing that meets UL 94 V-0 standards against flammability. Pluggable housings are molded with scalloped mating areas to prevent mismating, and are keyable as well. Each block is UL approved for 300V, 12A for wire sizes 22-12 AWG.
