Terminal Blocks have spring cage design.

Press Release Summary:

ST mini spring cage terminal blocks include knife disconnects available in 2-, 3- and 4-wire terminals. Measuring 5 x 20 mm, they provide test sockets for 2.3 mm test plugs on both sides of isolation point. Multi-level terminals are available in 3- and 4-level versions and use dual bridge system. Rated at 20 A and 300 V, ST-Combi plug system makes rated line current of 2.5 mm² wire pluggable into 5 mm wide components.

Original Press Release:

Mini Spring Cage Blocks Offer Big Benefits in a Small Package

Harrisburg, PA - Phoenix Contact's line-up of ST mini spring cage terminal blocks is growing with the addition of several products including knife disconnects, multi level terminal blocks, a pluggable system and the world's smallest 5 x 20mm fuse block.

New knife disconnects come in two-, three- and four-wire terminals. They offer extensive benefits in process and control technology yet measure as little as 5mm wide. Test sockets for 2.3mm test plugs are provided on both sides of the isolation point.

New multi-level terminals, available in three and four-level versions, also generate significant space savings. The four-level version is particularly suited to wiring three-phase motors. It enables a complete three-phase motor connection in a module just 6mm wide. All levels are bridgeable and you can label each terminal position separately.

The new 5x20mm fuse terminal block matches the profile of our 6.2mm feed-through block and uses the same dual bridge system.

The new 20 A and 300 V ST-Combi plug system makes the rated line current of a 2.5mm² wire pluggable in a component just 5mm wide. The finger-proof design of the plug contact and terminal block offer additional safety.

High density spring cage designs save space yet offer extensive benefits such as flexible push-in jumper system, generous wire entrances, and Phoenix Contact's patented spring design that provides easy and reliable terminations. Applicable to a wide range of industries, these products are of special interest to machine building, mass transit, shipbuilding and amusement industry applications where high density and vibration tolerance are critical.

The new Mini ST blocks can be combined with the standard terminals in the ST range. This is possible through a universal bridge system where the bridge shaft is always in the same position.

Phoenix Contact Inc. is registered to ISO 9001: 2000 - Quality Systems Model for Quality Assurance in design, development, production, installation and servicing. The company is one of the first terminal block or connector companies in North or South America to receive ISO 9001:2000 registration.
