Wieland Introduces Extended Height PCB Terminal Block
BURGAW, N.C. (June 24, 2002) - Wieland Electric Inc. introduced an extended height version of its 8292 Series of printed circuit board (PCB) terminal blocks, designed to save board real estate by enabling wiring access above other board-level components. The 8292 DH, EH, and H Series is manufactured with dovetail slots to create custom designed, tiered block configurations.
"Designers are looking for new ways to maximize board real estate," said Product Group Manager, Bruce Burroughs. "This new addition to the 8292 Series allows designers to configure tiered-connectors that can tower over board level components thereby improving wiring access."
The 8292 Series utilizes a screw clamp/rising cage clamping mechanism for superior connectivity, while a single solder tail provides a direct connection to the board. The 8292 Series is available in two-or three-pole versions with popular 5.08mm spacings. Blocks are UL rated to 300V, l0A for wire sizes 24-14AWG.
