Terminal Block rises up to 3 tiers.

Press Release Summary:

ELVM series of 0.150 in. pitch-rising cage terminal blocks is compatible with SMT reflow and wave soldering processes. Blocks are available in tiered, three-row configurations ranging from 2 to 10 poles per row, or a maximum of 30 circuits per block. Tiers are offset to facilitate host equipment wire installation and field service. Blocks may be stacked end-to-end on PCB without losing a contact position. Wire range is #16 to #28 AWG.

Original Press Release:

PCD Three-Tier .150" Terminal Block Increases Density

PCD Inc. has increased board I/O density by adding a three-tier model to its ELVM series of .150" pitch rising cage fixed-mount screw terminal blocks. The new blocks are compatible with SMT reflow soldering as well as wave soldering processes. EL3V blocks are available in tiered, three-row configurations ranging from 2 to 10 poles per row, or a maximum of 30 circuits per block. Blocks may be stacked end-to-end on the PCB on .150" pitch without losing a contact position. Tiers are offset to facilitate host equipment wire installation and field service. The blocks are molded of a high temperature, glass filled thermoplastic specifically selected to withstand 2600 C for three minutes during the PCB production process. This allows users to reduce PCB assembly costs by eliminating the need for separate soldering operations for through-hole terminal blocks in SMT boards.

Wire range is #16 - #28 AWG. All PCD ELV blocks are rated at 12A, 300V AC or DC and have UL, CSA and TUV approval. Contacts are copper alloy, tin-lead plated. Marking is available as an option. The standard block color is black, with green and custom colors available to meet customer needs. Delivery is 10 days or less for production quantities in accordance with the PCD Express delivery program. Prices are approximately $.20 per position in production quantities.
