Tyco Electronics Expands Terminal Block Line with 125-A Version
Compact Board-Mount Block on 15-mm Pitch
HARRISBURG, Pa., - August 15, 2008, - The new high-power terminal block on 15-mm pitch from Tyco Electronics provides high-current capacity of up to 125 A and 1000 V in a compact board-mounting configuration. Available in two through eight positions, the modular construction offers a 15-mm pitch to allow both factory and field wiring to bring high currents to printed circuit boards for industrial drives and inverters, power supplies, and other industrial devices requiring high currents to pc boards. Individual blocks can be dovetailed to achieve a higher number of positions without losing the centerline spacing.
The blocks, available with black or green UL 94V-0-rated housings, feature space-saving side wire entry and a rising cage screw termination. Two dual-pin through-hole connections per circuit help provide mechanical stability and ample contact to the printed circuit board to handle high currents. Built-in test points allow convenient measurements to be taken. Custom markings are available.
The high-power terminal blocks on 15-mm pitch are UL Component Recognized and certified by the Canadian Standards Association for applications up to 300 V and 125 A. The wire range is 6 to 10 AWG stranded or 10 to 20 AWG solid conductors.
