'Try Before Buy' Pneumatic Cord Clamp



Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its Spruance Cord Clamp for all models of tensile testers. This clamp, Catalog No. 508922, has a maximum 75 lb. capacity. This air-actuated clamp minimizes operator influence, increases the speed of testing and minimizes jaw breaks. This clamp is ideal for testing yarn, thread, cord, twine and similar materials. The clamp maintains a uniform holding pressure on the specimen regardless of its diameter or construction. The drums are made with a progressive radius and quipped with a horn shaped projection to facilitate loading.

This sturdy clamp is made of bronze and stainless steel. The operating pressure is 50-70 lbs. per square inch. The length is 4". The maximum opening is 1/16".
