Temperature Sensors allow greater measuring distances.

Press Release Summary:

Smart IRt/c.5, SmartIRt/c.20, and SmartIRt/c.40 powered, linearized temperature sensors offer distance:spot size ratios of 3:1, 5:1, 20:1, and 40:1. Models have built-in air purge for cleaning and provide continuous auto calibration. Emissivity shift and ambient radiation corrections enable precise measurement. Sensors have outputs of 0-5 V, 0-10 V, 4-20 mA and temperature ranges of 0-100°C, 0-250°C, 0-500°C, and 0-1000°C. Rugged housing withstands mechanical and thermal shock.

PRESS RELEASE

Exergen Corporation, Watertown, MA introduces the NEW Smart IRt/c.5, SmartIRt/c.20 and SmartIRt/c.40 powered, linearized temperature sensors. The addition of these SmartIRt/c products to the line allows the end users to measure their targets at distances further away than what's available with the standard SmartIRt/c model. Now optics in 3:1, 5:1, 20:1, and 40:1 (distance: spot size ratio) are available.

All of these models have built in air purge for cleaning, and offer smart continuous auto calibration with it's all digital system. With the easy plug and play installation, there are no concerns of leakage current, impedance, or cold junction compensation. The smart emissivity shift and ambient radiation correction in the design of the SmartIRtc family of products is a unique feature that ranks the SmartIRt/c as the most precise infrared temperature sensor on the market. The rugged, smart housing can withstand heavy-duty mechanical and thermal, shock commonly found in many industrial applications, and hold its accuracy. So you get nice clean accuracy in the dirtiest, most rugged environments. The SmartIRt/c's are also assembled with all of the components complete in one package. No extra electronics or boxes are necessary. Go straight into your PLC.

The SmartIRt/c's have outputs of 0-5V, 0-10V, 4-20mA, RS232, and RS485 available. The temperature ranges available are: 0-100C, 0-250C, 0-500C, 0-1000C. And custom programming available for low emissivity target applications.

If you are in the process control market in a harsh environment, and want to control product temperature, increase product yield, and increase your profits, be Smart about it with the Exergen Smart IRt/c family of products.
