New Temperature Sensor Assemblies for Hazardous Area Locations are ATEX- Approved



A new line of temperature sensor assemblies that meet ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, approved for use in hazardous area locations, has been introduced by Ultra Electronics, Nuclear Sensor & Process Instrumentation (formerly Weed Instrument) of Round Rock, Texas.

With temperature sensor and transmitter assemblies certified for Flame-proof and Intrinsically-safe applications, these products meet the ATEX requirements specified in many installations world-wide.

The Flame-proof certification covers the spring-loaded sensor and connection head assembly that is suitable for all types of thermowells and are available in both RTD and thermocouple configurations.

The Intrinsically-safe certification covers the temperature transmitter, springloaded sensor and connection head assembly. This assembly is suitable for all types of thermowells. Either RTD's or thermocouples can be specified.
