Why Does Your Pharmacy Need a Temperature Datalogger?

  • Electronic thermometers are too slow to react to rapid temperature changes or to give you an accurate reading of your medical unit's internal temperature fluctuations, caused by the unit's cycling throughout the day.
  • Frequent door opening and closing can throw off your temperature readings with false alarms which causes you to miss actual alarms.
  • Temperature data loggers offer you a proactive way to avoid product loss and free up time otherwise spent taking manual readings.
  • Without an automated system in place, no one notices or takes action the instant that temperature readings go outside safe limits. Likewise, any gaps in vaccine temperature documentation may lead to an inspector judging your supply to be unsafe and disposed of.
  • If your refrigerator or freezer shuts off without a failsafe such as automated phonecall alarms, you could return on Monday morning to find you've lost thousands of dollars of vaccine product.
World-Class Medical Monitoring:

In response to the widespread lack of proper vaccine storage methods and monitoring devices, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has established new safety guidelines. Helping to prevent the all-too-common loss of vaccine supply, Accsense temperature  monitoring systems send you automated phone alarms the moment that your products go out of temperature spec. This advanced alarm functionality is the real Accsense advantage.

Accsense data logging systems allow wireless or wired monitoring with the use of internal and external sensors. Our Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval customers have found that Accsense is extremely cost-effective, easy to install and use, and has almost ZERO impact on existing IT infrastructure. Each A2-05-W wireless datalogger has inputs for two external RTD temperature probes and an additional input for a thermocouple. A single A2-05 podcan monitor either a combination medical refrigerator/freezer unit or two storage units at distributed points.

With the A2-05-W there's no need to install wiring--just place the data logger on the side or on top of a medical storage unit using the supplied Velcro. Using a standard WiFi connection to the internet, the wireless data logger quickly connects to your WiFi Network. The A2-05-W supports 802.11a/b/g/n specifications and also supports WEP, WPA, WPA2, 802.11i and 802.1x Supplicant.

View Alarms on Your Mobile Device!

Alarms originate from our remote server system with redundant power, so if your facility's power or internet service fails, you will immediately get an alarm notification, including when your fridge fails over the weekend. This feature can easily pay for itself by giving you the chance to save your products before it's too late. Only Accsense offers this capability! In case of a power failure or network connection loss, the data logger will keep running for 6 hours on its internal lithium battery.

Accsense enables you to set up automated alarms which send out email, pager or phone notifications the moment that your product is at risk. Using your Accsense Online Account, you can login through any Web browser to get alarms and view data from anywhere an internet connection is available, including your mobile device. This feature lets you prove best practices by showing regulators your entire temperature history in convenient graph form.
