New Field-Mount Temperature Monitor/Transmitter Announced
The Versatile RIT261 Can be Used in All Areas of the Process Industry
July 7, 2004, Greenwood, Indiana - Endress+Hauser announces the new, universal field-mount temperature monitor/transmitter, RIT261, which is applicable in the areas of plant and panel manufacturing and process monitoring. Galvanic isolation between the temperature sensor and the power supply enables the RIT261 to be used in all areas of the process industry. The new temperature monitor/transmitter is suitable for RTD thermometers, thermocouples TC, Ohm, and mV inputs.
The innovative, robust metal housing of the display protects the head transmitter from mechanical loading and harsh atmospheres as well as enables easy cleaning. The five-digit LC display with exceptional backlit temperature indication and characters 26mm high, allow for any user to easily read and record the output in all lighting and weather conditions. The trend bar-graph in ten percent increments depicts the output in a form for quick reference and understanding.
Another innovative feature of the new RIT261 is the on-line setup. Changes can be completed without removing the temperature monitor/transmitter from the measurement circuit due to the ability of unit setup during operation. The construction of the RIT261, including an IP66 ingress protection and NEMA 4x classification with two cable entries and the Gore-Tex membrane, enable the RIT261 to be applicable in all types of rough industrial process environments.
