PDF Temperature Loggers Document Product History for FSMA

Single-Use PDF Dataloggers from SwiTrace

CHESTERLAND, OH – Food manufacturers and storage/shipping facilities are under increasing pressure to document product temperature at each link of the food cold chain. With the upcoming enforcement of FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) and other regulations, CAS DataLoggers offers SwiTrace PDF Temperature Dataloggers which generate a full PDF temperature history report. Now you can give vendors and inspectors proof of your best practices and product quality. Ideal for use in trucks, refrigerated compartments and warehouses, these products are now available at CAS DataLoggers for under $35.00. E-Documentation Regulations:

Under FSMA, now food manufacturers and logistics companies must present their vendors with an entire product temperature history--from ‘farm to fork’ if need be. This includes timestamps for the data which show how long that the product was in storage or transit. To comply with FSMA and other regulations, you need a reliable yet affordable cold chain solution.

Now SwiTrace introduces the new IPlug PDF Single-Use temperature data logger. Easy to setup and operate, these temperature recorders alarm your product and automatically generate PDF reports to give to receivers. Traveling with product palettes and truck shipments, IPlug PDF loggers continually monitor your product and save drivers the hassle of having to stop and take manual temperature measurements. The built-in USB interface makes connection to a PC for downloading data a snap so you don’t need a USB driver.

Cold Chain Temperature Monitoring:

The IPlug PDF data logger monitors the temperature of its environment at a range of -40°C to +65°C at an accuracy of 0.3°C and resolution of 0.1°C. The logger is compact and lightweight for easy placement and retrieval (Dimensions: 73x15x33 mm, weight 30g). The Start and Stop buttons make operation easy even for new users.

With an encrypted 8,000-point memory capacity and a 60-day/user-programmable duration, the data logger is ideal for extended trips. The logger is also EN 12830—CE—RoHs Compliant and is fully recyclable.

Automatic Alarm and PDF Reports:

The logger’s High and Low Alarm LED indicator lets users know if there has been a temperature excursion at any point in the trip. Users can select alarm settings and temperature sampling rate (default is once every 10 minutes).

The logger also features Auto-pdf file generation, convenient for giving the entire temperature documentation to receivers.

Track & Trace Portal:

Using the manufacturer’s Web Portal, it’s easy for users to enter the Serial # of their IPLUG PDF and see if it has been downloaded by the receiver. If the receiver has selected the ‘Send to the Web’ feature while reading the device, the user will get instant access to the temperature report.

IPLUG PDF dataloggers are also available in a Pharma version supporting online calibration so users can go online and view the calibration info by Serial #.
