Temperature Indicators are designed to minimize usage costs.

Press Release Summary:

Lot numbered for NIST traceability, Tempilstik° indicators make marks that melt within 1% of their rated temperatures. They are supplied in adjustable aluminum holder with pocket clip and come in 100+ temperature ratings systematically spaced between 100 and 2,500°F. Below its temperature rating, products leave dry, opaque chalk mark. When rating is reached, a liquid smear remains. Upon cooling, melted mark will solidify with transparent or translucent appearance.

Tempilstik° Temperature Indicators Offer Lowest Usage Costs

Tempilstik° temperature indicators make marks that melt within 1% of their rated temperatures, and offer the lowest possible usage cost. Lot numbered for NIST traceability, Tempilstik° indicators are supplied in an adjustable aluminum holder with pocket clip.

There are over 100 temperature ratings, systematically spaced between 100° F - 2500° F (38° C - 1371° C.) Most can be certified to be lead, sulphur and halogen free.

Tempilstik° indicators can be stroked on a workpiece from time to time during a heating operation. Below its temperature rating, the Tempilstik° leaves a dry opaque chalk mark; when its rating is reached, the Tempilstik° leaves a liquid smear. On cooling, the melted Tempilstik° mark will solidify with a transparent or translucent appearance.

Field tests document Tempilstiks offer the lowest usage cost compared to conventional temperature indicators. In side-by-side testing at 250°F, Tempilstiks make more marks per stick than any other temperature stick. Nine 6" strokes were made on a steel plate heated 5°F above its rated temperature. Tempilstiks made 126% more marks while offering 25% greater density.
