Selco's Microprocessor-Based Digital Temperature Controller Features Flexible Programming for Variety of Industrial Applications

Anaheim, Calif. - March 31, 2004- Selco Products Company's Model 2901 Digital Temperature Controller features microprocessor-based, solid-state technology for superior reliability and accuracy. Designed for a wide range of industrial applications in temperature ranges from 100 to 900 degrees F, the 2901 Controller allows broad flexibility in programming onboard circuitry to meet requirements in a wide variety of applications across a diverse range of industries.

The new controller features a large, easy-to-read, .56-inch, four-digit display for easy visibility of temperature and time in low-light conditions. Other key features include a maximum operating temperature of 158 degrees F with 0 to 90% relative humidity (non-condensing), SSR drive output, and factory-set optional beeper for high/low temperature and timing. The Model 2901 is available with temperature control only, or with time and temperature control.

The controller also offers a high degree of flexibility with a choice of factory-fixed or user-selectable input voltages. Factory settings include 115 VAC, 230 VAC, 208 VAC, and 24 VAC/VDC at 50/60 Hz, with user selectable input voltage of 115/230 at 50/60 Hz.

The Model 2901 measures 6.2"W x 2.1"L x 1.5"D and is easily panel mounted via mounting screws. For enhanced aesthetics, the unit can also be front panel mounted using five standoffs. Operating environment is 30 to 158 degrees F with 0.25" quick-connect input and output connections. The unit requires a Type 'J' thermocouple sensor and solid-state relay, which are sold separately.

"With its microprocessor circuitry, the 2901 offers OEMs complete versatility in design - it can be programmed for virtually any application where temperature control is required," said Russell Kido, Selco Product Manager.
